"Fear deep..."

This sketchbook concept is the beginning of an evolving series centered around fear, survival, and the struggle to overcome what tries to pull us under. Created in black pencil and charcoal, the piece shows a woman trapped beneath the water while an octopus-like creature holds her down — representing the weight of fear, anxiety, and the feeling of losing control. I wanted the darkness and raw texture of the drawing to feel heavy and unsettling, while still leaving room for the idea that fighting back is possible. This is only the beginning of the story.
